Position Summary We're seeking a Cosmetologist (Full-Time, On-Site) to provide top-tier makeup, hair styling, and basic skincare services for daily appointments, special events, and production days. This role is ideal for a cosmetologist who thrives in a busy, entertainment-driven environment and wants a highly organized system to grow clients consistently through the rest of the year. Key Responsibilities (What You'll Do) Client Consultations & Service Delivery Consult with clients to understand their desired look, goals, and skin/hair needs Recommend suitable products and techniques Deliver services including: Makeup application Hairstyling (blowouts, updos, styling for shoots/events) Cutting/trimming (as applicable to your license/skill set) Basic skincare services (as allowed/appropriate for your scope) Sanitation, Safety, and Professional Standards Maintain a clean, organized workstation Sanitize tools and equipment between clients Follow all health and safety and California sanitation best practices Scheduling & Studio Flow Keep appointment timing on track and communicate proactively Manage intake smoothly and support a consistent client experience Help maintain an organized front-to-back workflow during peak hours Client Retention + Retail Support Support retention by building repeat-care habits with clients Assist with basic retail product recommendations (no hard selling—education-led) Collaboration Work well with other beauty professionals Support production-day needs and creative look changes Stay flexible during peak hours, weekends, and event schedules What We're Looking For (Qualifications) Active California cosmetology license OR eligibility to obtain one Strong hands-on skills in: makeup application hair styling (blowouts, updos, event/shoot readiness) basic skincare services (within your scope) Excellent communication and customer service active listening clear consultation professional, welcoming energy Strong organization skills time management clean work habits appointment reliability Creativity and adaptability custom looks for different face shapes, hair types, and skin tones comfortable adjusting for occasion + production needs Availability for onsite work in Burbank with flexibility for: peak hours weekends event/production call needs Reliable transportation and punctuality Previous experience preferred: salon, freelance, or on-set environments bridal, event, or content/photo shoot work Basic product/tool knowledge color theory fundamentals skin sensitivity awareness selecting appropriate products for the client Benefits & Growth Opportunities 2 Months Free Rental Retainer for booth renters / qualified stylists Work in a studio designed for real bookings + real content/production Opportunity to build long-term clients and expand your professional portfolio A supportive environment that emphasizes: professionalism consistency creative collaboration How to Apply Submit your: Please reach out to the salon directly for an application: queenofthenilebeautysalon@gmail.com/562.230.5209 Resume (or short work history) License status (active / eligible to obtain) Availability for full-time onsite scheduling Portfolio or social links (makeup + hair work preferred) Any production/TV/film or bridal/event experience (if applicable)
