RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expert hair services including cuts, color, Balayage, highlights, blowouts, and specialty techniques tailored to each client Perform scalp massages and head treatments as part of the service experience (required as part of our standard service protocol) Build and maintain strong client relationships that drive repeat bookings and referrals Consult with new and returning clients to understand their hair goals and recommend appropriate services and products Represent the Brandon Martinez Salon brand with professionalism in every interaction Maintain a clean, organized station and contribute to the overall salon environment Support product education and retail recommendations for the B. The Product haircare line
REQUIREMENTS
Valid California Cosmetology License (California State Board) Demonstrated skill in at least one core specialty: Balayage, Dry-Cutting, highlights, or lived-in color Comfortable performing scalp massages and head treatments — a standard part of every service at our salon Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, client-first attitude Reliable, punctual, and committed to a consistent schedule Drama-free, team-oriented mindset — good vibes are non-negotiable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with specialty color techniques: baby lights, foil highlights, sew-in extensions, or keratin treatments Background in bridal or editorial / red carpet styling Experience working with men's cuts and grooming services Existing clientele or strong referral network Knowledge of or interest in clean/professional haircare products Comfortable recommending retail products to clients as part of the service
