Job Overview Salon Assistant Merissa Leigh Salon | Greenwich, CT Merissa Leigh Salon is looking for a motivated, professional, and growth-minded Salon Assistant to join our team. We are a luxury salon in Greenwich focused on creating an elevated client experience while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. This position is ideal for a licensed cosmetologist or recent cosmetology graduate who is eager to continue learning, strengthen their skills, and grow into a successful stylist. What You'll Do As a Salon Assistant, you'll work closely with our stylists and salon leadership while learning the standards and systems behind the Merissa Leigh Salon experience.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting stylists throughout the client's appointment Shampooing, conditioning, treatments, and scalp massages Preparing clients for color and styling services Mixing color and assisting with color services Blow-drying and styling as skills progress Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked salon Preparing stations and supplies between clients Laundry, towels, capes, and general salon upkeep Greeting clients and helping create a welcoming environment Supporting the flow of the salon during busy days Learning product knowledge and proper product recommendations Participating in hands-on education, model work, and training Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Licensed in cosmetology in Connecticut or currently completing licensing requirements Passionate about the beauty industry Interested in building a long-term career as a hairstylist Reliable, punctual, and professional Positive and receptive to coaching Detail-oriented and able to take initiative Comfortable working in a fast-paced salon Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed Committed to providing an exceptional client experience Excited to learn and grow Our Salon At Merissa Leigh Salon, our core values are Excellence, Growth, Teamwork, Integrity, Professionalism, and Passion.
