Job Description

Under the direction of the Spa Director, provides professional, high quality hair care services for clients. Salon Stylists are ambassadors of hospitality and good will, executing the standards of excellence to and for each guest. In addition to performing hair styling services and based on education and certifications, Stylists may be trained on other spa treatments including but not limited to hydrotherapy, body wraps, exfoliation or nail services and treatments, etc. The Stylist provides own service utensils and tools including but not limited to uniform, curling and flat irons, shears, clippers, brushes, combs, clips, hot/cold and wet/dry rollers. High school diploma or GED required. Three years prior service provider experience with proven proficiency and mastery of all areas of cutting, styling and color application in a spa, salon or related beauty industry required. Must possess a valid and unencumbered CT state Beautician (Cosmetology) license. General knowledge of spa operations, equipment, products and procedures is essential. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to deal well with people. Must be able to prioritize and be multi-tasked. Computer and keyboard experience necessary so as to utilize reservation software. Must be able to push, pull, tug, and carry 50 lbs. Ability to perform a minimum of five hours of consecutive treatments. Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time (95%). Must be able to hear, speak and move without impediment and use hearing, speaking and movement in the exercise of duties and responsibilities.
