In this energetic role, you'll deliver professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and comfort, ensuring a positive experience for every furry friend. Your expertise will help build lasting relationships with clients while showcasing your skills in animal handling and pet care. This is a W-2 position in an upscale salon with a large customer base and fantastic reputation. Saturdays required. Sundays off. Can accommodate part time leading quickly into full time if desired. Responsibilities Provide professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing touches tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle dogs and other small animals with care, patience, and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Assess each pet's health and behavior to identify any signs of distress or health issues, referring to veterinary professionals when necessary Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations for ongoing pet care Assist with animal restraint techniques to ensure safe grooming sessions while minimizing stress for the pets Stay updated on current grooming trends, breed standards, and best practices in animal handling and pet care Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care are essential for safety and quality results Ability to lift heavy pets or equipment safely as needed during grooming procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude toward clients and their pets Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Passion for animals with a commitment to providing compassionate care and outstanding service Join us in creating happy pets and satisfied owners through expert grooming and compassionate animal handling.
