Utilize salon software systems like VAGARO for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking. Offer expert advice on color theory, hair care routines, and product recommendations to optimize client results. Upsell retail products including hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and styling tools to boost sales. Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling payments efficiently. Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, barbering, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence. Support store management with inventory management and retail math calculations to ensure optimal stock levels. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming techniques. Proficiency in advanced skills such as hair extensions, straight razor shaves, makeup application, nail care, and eyelash extensions is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and retail management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and understand their desired looks. Experience in retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math calculations to maximize revenue opportunities. Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while delivering outstanding customer service.
