RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Piccolinos Hair Stylist, you will: Welcome children and parents with a friendly, positive attitude Consult with parents and clients to understand haircut and styling preferences Recommend appropriate hairstyles and haircuts based on hair type, face shape, lifestyle, and preferences Perform haircuts for children of different ages and hair types Wash, rinse, condition, and dry hair when appropriate Cut, trim, style, and finish hair using professional techniques and equipment Create everyday and special-event hairstyles, including braids, ponytails, buns, curls, and other age-appropriate styles Apply hair-care and treatment products as needed Help children feel comfortable, entertained, and confident throughout their visit Build relationships with returning families and record important client preferences in our POS system Assist with appointments and walk-in clients Maintain a clean and organized workstation Properly clean, disinfect, and maintain tools and equipment Recommend appropriate salon services and retail products when beneficial to the client Work collaboratively with the Piccolinos team to provide an excellent experience from arrival to checkout
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Valid Florida cosmetology license or other applicable Florida professional license permitting the services performed Hair stylist, hairdresser, or cosmetology experience Experience working with children is a plus Comfortable performing haircuts on short and long hair Knowledge of different hair textures and age-appropriate styles Ability to perform braids, ponytails, buns, curls, and other popular styles Familiarity with professional styling tools, including flat irons and curling tools Awareness of current haircut and styling trends Patience and a positive attitude when working with children Friendly and professional communication with both children and parents Dependable, organized, and team-oriented Ability to remain active and stand for extended periods Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including busy periods and weekends when applicable Most importantly: someone who enjoys making kids smile!
