Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom instruction on a wide range of cosmetology topics including hair styling, coloring, nail care, skincare, makeup application, and esthetic treatments. Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with industry standards and state licensing requirements. Supervise students during practical training sessions to ensure safety and proper technique execution in areas such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, laser treatments, and trigger point therapy. Mentor students by providing constructive feedback, guidance on career development, and support with skill mastery. Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing health and safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations. Stay current with industry trends and advancements to incorporate innovative techniques into teaching modules. Assist with student assessments, progress tracking, and preparation for licensing examinations. Skills Proven expertise in cosmetology disciplines including hair styling, coloring, barbering, nail care, skincare (facials, body waxing), makeup application, and aesthetic treatments. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures and skin health. Experience working within the beauty industry across salons or spas with a focus on client services such as massage therapy (deep tissue massage), esthetic laser treatments, facial therapies, and body treatments. Skilled in student supervision, mentoring, classroom management, and lesson planning tailored for adult learners. Ability to demonstrate techniques like hair threading, hair extensions application, eyelash extensions installation, dermabrasion procedures, and trigger point therapy. Excellent communication skills to effectively teach complex concepts in an engaging manner. Familiarity with adult education principles and the ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles.
