As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients. Your expertise in various techniques, including hair extensions and color theory, will contribute to the overall success of our salon. Duties Provide a range of hair services, including cutting, coloring, and styling, tailored to individual client needs. Utilize knowledge of natural hair care and hair extensions to enhance client satisfaction. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with salon sanitation standards. Use salon software, such as Square, for appointment scheduling and client management. Assist with front desk duties, including greeting clients and managing appointments. Foster strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and customer service. Engage in retail sales by upselling products that complement the services provided. Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling to offer clients the best options available. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license is strongly encouraged. Proficiency in hair styling techniques, including straight razor cuts and color theory. Experience with salon software systems; familiarity with SQUARE is a plus. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal relations. Ability to perform retail math for effective product sales management. Previous experience in store management or mentoring is advantageous. Knowledge of wig installation and sister/micro locks maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
