Overview We are a warm, resident‑centered licensed Memory Care community serving adults living with dementia and Alzheimer's. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Salon Stylist/Barber to provide haircuts and grooming services one day per week to our residents. This is a contracted position providing on‑site services within our community. The ideal candidate is patient, mature, and comfortable working with individuals who may experience cognitive impairment, anxiety, or confusion. About the Role As our contracted stylist/barber, you will provide essential grooming services that support dignity, comfort, and quality of life for our residents. You will work in a designated salon space within our building and collaborate with care staff to ensure each resident's needs are met safely and respectfully. Responsibilities Provide haircuts, trims, basic styling, and grooming services to elderly residents Maintain a calm, reassuring, and patient approach with individuals experiencing dementia/Alzheimer's Follow all facility policies regarding resident rights, safety, and infection control Communicate professionally with staff regarding resident preferences or concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace Manage your own scheduling, supplies, and invoicing as an independent contractor Qualifications Licensed Cosmetologist or Barber in the State of Idaho Experience working with seniors or individuals with cognitive impairment preferred Strong communication skills and a gentle, patient demeanor Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism at all times Reliable and punctual—consistency is essential for our residents Must carry personal liability insurance as a contractor Schedule & Compensation One day per week Contracted position; compensation based on agreed service rates You will submit a monthly invoice for services rendered.
