We are a men's grooming salon with a loyal, established clientele and a team that takes the craft seriously. We have a full-time front desk team, over $2,000 per month in active client marketing, and a strong rebooking culture. We are looking for a skilled barber or men's hair stylist who wants to build a long-term career in a professionally run environment with real benefits behind it. What the job looks like day to day Delivering precise haircuts including fades, tapers, and classic men's cuts Beard grooming, trimming, and facial hair maintenance Client consultations to understand preferences and recommend products or services Building and maintaining guest relationships that drive rebooking and retention Educating guests on retail products that support their grooming routine at home Maintaining a clean, sanitized station in line with industry standards Straight razor shave services when applicable (preferred skill, not required) What makes Chicago Male different Over 20 years serving the Lakeview community with a loyal male clientele $2,000+/month in consistent client-generating marketing Full-time front desk handles all scheduling, rescheduling, checkouts, cleaning, and laundry Strong rebooking culture so you can focus on your craft Tiered commission starting at 43%+ (W2 employee, not booth rent) What we are looking for Licensed Illinois barber or cosmetologist Skilled in fades, tapers, and men's cuts Beard grooming and trimming experience Strong with guests on consultation and retention Professional, reliable, and team-oriented Some existing clientele preferred but not required to get hired Straight razor shave experience a plus Full-time benefits (36+ hrs/week) 3+ Weeks Paid Time Off per year $400/month Health and Wellness Stipend
