Job Description

The Institute of Beauty and Wellness is seeking an Esthiology Substitute Instructor to provide independent-contractor coverage on our Chicago campus. This is a 1099 contract position. Coverage is needed on an as-needed basis, and the assignment could run for several weeks or extend into a longer-term engagement. Job Functions Teach core curriculum, including theory and hands-on facials, waxing, body treatments, makeup application, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and advanced services. Coach and provide feedback for further growth and development. Inspire professionalism and a strong work ethic, as is required in the service industry. Prepare students for state license exams and placement. Implement company systems and standards. Learn Aveda and Ultraceuticals products and services and then train students on the products and protocols. Job Skills, Education, and Experience Active Esthetics Educator license in IL Experience as a practicing professional and experience in advanced services such as peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, lashes, etc. Teaching, training, or leadership experience Appreciation of the
Beauty and Wellness Industries Schedule:
As-needed, up to approximately 30-40 hours per week depending on coverage needs; exact days/hours to be coordinated with the Director.
Compensation:
Hourly rate, commensurate with experience
