Educate clients on hair care routines and product recommendations to promote healthy hair maintenance. Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair treatments to maximize sales opportunities. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling client communication professionally. Mentor junior staff members by sharing expertise in cosmetology techniques like color theory and store management practices. Stay current with industry trends by attending training sessions on new styling methods and salon software updates. Experience Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a Hair Dresser or Barber with a strong portfolio of diverse styles. Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and retail tracking. Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, including balayage, highlights, and color correction. Skilled in various hairstyling methods for different hair types and lengths using professional tools. Experience performing specialized services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application is highly desirable. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment. Excellent communication skills for effective client consultations and team collaboration.
