Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and industry best practices to ensure effective student learning. Supervise students during practical sessions in salon environments, providing guidance on techniques like skin care routines, trigger point therapy, dermabrasion, and aesthetic laser treatments. Mentor students by offering constructive feedback on their technical skills and professional conduct to foster growth and confidence. Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering to health and safety regulations related to salon procedures and equipment use. Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical demonstrations, and written exams; maintain accurate records of performance. Stay current with industry trends and advances in cosmetology techniques to incorporate innovative methods into teaching. Qualifications Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in skincare, hair styling, massage therapy, nail care, and aesthetic treatments. Prior classroom or training experience in adult education or cosmetology instruction is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology practices such as facial anatomy and trigger point therapy. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor students effectively. Demonstrated proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learning styles. Certifications or licenses in cosmetology fields such as esthetician license, barbering license, or massage therapy certification are required. Familiarity with advanced techniques including laser treatments, dermabrasion, deep tissue massage, hair coloring, hair threading, and eyelash extensions is desirable.
