Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Salon Assistant to support our stylists and ensure every guest enjoys a five-star salon experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a cosmetology student, recent graduate, or licensed cosmetologist looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a professional salon. Responsibilities Greet and assist guests upon arrival. Shampoo and condition clients before services. Prepare color bowls, foils, brushes, and styling tools. Keep styling stations, shampoo area, and dispensary clean and organized. Sanitize tools and maintain salon cleanliness according to Maryland Board of Cosmetology standards. Wash, fold, and restock towels and capes. Assist with front desk duties, including answering phones, booking appointments, checking guests in and out, and processing payments when needed. Restock retail products and salon supplies. Assist stylists throughout the day to ensure efficient service. Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Qualifications Currently enrolled in cosmetology school or hold a Maryland Cosmetology License (preferred). Excellent customer service and communication skills. Positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
