Area Manager / Hairstylist

Are you a Skilled Hairstylist with Management Experience … dedicated, motivated and passionate about the beauty industry? Matura Salon and Spa is a rapidly growing, innovative salon services company partnering with, and serving, Senior Living Communities nationwide and we are seeking a dynamic Area Manager for Anne Arundel County area in Maryland! As Area Manager 3 days week, you will work closely with your supervisor to establish clear job duties and expectations along with the Community Management teams and stylists to develop a positive, open communication relationship between all, along with servicing residents behind-the-chair 2 days week. The ideal candidate will have experience in salon management and senior living communities along with outstanding professionalism . This role requires a proven background in the hair salon industry, including expertise in interviewing, training, payroll, product knowledge, inventory management, communication via phone / email / in person, client issue resolution, and knowledge and use of Microsoft. Must also demonstrate strong commitment to customer service and serve effectively as a key part of a growing team.

Minimal Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Cosmetology license
• 2+ years management experience in the Beauty Industry
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings / overnights
• Ability to perform various administrative tasks: having solid business writing and computer skills
• Ability to resolve guest issues
• Ability to effectively develop and lead a team: creating a positive work environment; providing training and guidance on professionalism and technical competencies
• Knowledge of, and ability to train all aspects of cosmetology, when applicable

References Required Physical Requirements:

• Travel to communities within a specific area.
• Standing or sitting for sustained periods of time
• Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds
• Ability to be exposed to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services
