Job Description
Hairstylist | New & Experienced Stylists Welcome Dimensional Hair Studio - Columbia, Maryland Full-Time or Part-Time Where Artistry Meets Confidence Dimensional Hair Studio is looking for a licensed hairstylist to join our team. We are open to meeting both experienced stylists and newer stylists who are ready to grow their careers behind the chair. We aren't looking for one specific type of stylist. We want to meet you, see your work, learn where you are in your career, and determine whether Dimensional is the right place for you to grow and be successful. About Dimensional Dimensional Hair Studio is an established salon in Columbia, Maryland, helping guests feel confident since 2018. Our salon specializes in dimensional color, gray coverage and blending, highlighting, cutting, extensions, keratin services, and scalp and hair health, along with skin, lash, and waxing services. Our culture is built around kindness, respect, honesty, accountability, education, communication, and teamwork. We want our stylists to be able to come to work, have the products and support they need, be creative, build strong relationships with their guests, make a great living, and still have a life outside of the salon. Who We're Looking For Your experience level may vary, but the qualities we're looking for don't. You may be a great fit if you: Are a licensed hairstylist in Maryland or currently completing the requirements for licensure Love the hair industry and genuinely want to continue learning Take pride in your work and the experience you provide your guests Understand the importance of a great consultation Are dependable and professional Keep a clean and organized workspace Communicate well with guests and coworkers Are receptive to education, coaching, and feedback Want to work as part of a team while building your own success Treat everyone in the salon with kindness and respect Are willing to take responsibility, problem-solve, and continue improving your craft If You're a Newer Stylist You don't need to know everything yet. We're interested in stylists who have a strong foundation, a good attitude, and a genuine desire to learn. We understand that becoming confident behind the chair takes time, experience, education, and support. Your starting position and schedule can be based on your current skill level and where you need additional development. If You're an Experienced Stylist If you've already built your skills behind the chair, we're interested in learning about your specialties, strengths, clientele, and what you're looking for in the next stage of your career. An established clientele is welcome, but a full book is not required. We want experienced stylists to have the independence to do what they do well while still having the support and collaboration of a team around them. What You'll Find at Dimensional We believe stylists do their best work when they have the tools, professional products, education, support, and environment they need to succeed. We believe in collaboration rather than competition. Whether it's sharing a formula, asking another stylist's opinion, helping with a guest, learning a new technique, or simply stepping in when a teammate needs support, we want to create an environment where our team works together. What Matters to Us Skill can be developed. Work ethic, professionalism, kindness, and how you treat people matter just as much. We are looking for someone who wants to show up, do great work, continue learning, take care of their guests, support the people around them, and build a successful career. Let's Meet If you're looking for a salon where you can grow your career, be creative, make money, continue your education, and work alongside people who want to see each other succeed , we'd like to meet you. Whether you're newer to the industry or have years behind the chair, we encourage you to apply. Tell us a little about yourself, where you are in your career, and what you're looking for in your next salon.
