Overview Join our fun and welcoming The Yellow Balloon as a Kids' Hair Stylist! We are looking for a friendly, patient, and creative stylist who enjoys working with children and helping them feel comfortable during their appointments. You will provide quality hair services while creating a positive experience for both children and their parents or guardians. Duties Provide children's haircuts, styling, and braiding. Work confidently with different hair types, textures, and styles. Speak with parents or guardians to understand their child's hair needs and preferences. Help nervous or restless children feel calm, comfortable, and safe. Recommend appropriate haircare products and services. Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, chairs, and workstations between clients. Follow all salon health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Help create a fun, patient, and welcoming environment for every child. Experience and Qualifications Previous hairstyling, barbering, or cosmetology experience is preferred. Knowledge of children's haircuts, styling, braiding, and different hair textures. Must be patient, friendly, dependable, and comfortable working with children of different ages. Strong communication and customer-service skills with both children and adults. Ability to remain calm when working with nervous, sensitive, or active children. A cosmetology or barber license is required if applicable under state law. Availability on weekends is preferred. Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
