What you'll do Behind the chair Deliver precision haircuts, color, and advanced treatments tailored to each client Build genuine relationships with clients through active listening and expert consultations Recommend retail products that complement clients' home care routines Maintain a clean, sanitary workspace that meets industry standards In the classroom Design and lead ongoing education for our team — technique classes, product knowledge, trend training, and skill-building sessions Mentor stylists at all experience levels, from new licensees to seasoned pros Provide hands-on coaching and constructive feedback behind the chair Partner with salon leadership to identify skill gaps and build training plans that close them Stay current with industry trends and techniques to keep your own teaching sharp Model the communication and transparency that define our culture — in the classroom and on the floor What you bring Significant hands-on experience as a licensed stylist A genuine love of teaching and mentoring — patience, clarity, and enthusiasm for helping others improve Strong technical range across cuts, color, and advanced techniques Confidence presenting to and leading a group A collaborative, ego-free approach to sharing knowledge Openness to continued education yourself — great educators keep learning too What we offer Commission-based pay behind the chair, plus education pay structure Flexible scheduling Ongoing, hands-on education for you and your team Paid time off Service & product discounts A supportive, transparent team culture Ready to lead education at The Hurley Co.?
