The part-time Cosmetology Instructor will support primary instructors in teaching manicurist and cosmetology classes. Instructors may teach theory, labs, and practicals and instruct students by using mannequins and live models. NC Cosmetology Instructor license is required Current license and experience as a nail technician/cosmetologist and/or a NC Cosmetology Instructor credential is needed for this instructor to teach lessons and labs on client services for manicures and cosmetology services according to NC Cosmetology Board guidelines Applicant should have at least two years of work experience as a licensed cosmetologist Knowledge of current NC Cosmetic Board regulations and requirements for educational institutions is required Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Teaching experience at a community college preferred Must have excellent organizational and communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred Working Conditions Day/evening/weekend hours are required Lenoir Community College is a comprehensive institution which places primary emphasis on excellence in classroom instruction.
