Job Overview Coos County Nursing Home is looking for a licensed Hairdresser for 1 or 2 day a week between the hours of 8-4. Duties Hair care services : Perform haircuts, styling, shampooing, and sometimes coloring or basic nail care for residents Adaptation to needs : Modify services for clients with limited mobility, health conditions, or special grooming requirements Companionship and support : Offer emotional comfort and conversation to residents, enhancing their well-being and self-esteem Safety and hygiene : Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment; follow facility health and safety protocols

I Communication :

Work closely with facility staff (e.g., nurses, aides) to coordinate care and address resident needs. Travel and flexibility : May travel to different rooms or floors

Skills Licensing :

Must be a licensed cosmetologist or barber, with experience in hair styling and grooming Patience and empathy : Ability to work with elderly clients who may have mobility or communication challenges. Attention to detail : Ensure high-quality, safe, and hygienic services.

Adaptability :

Adjust techniques for different hair types, conditions, and client abilities.

Professionalism :

Maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward all residents and staff.
