Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Hair Stylist/Barber for a kid salon, where your passion for helping children will shine in this dynamic role, you'll deliver hair cutting, and hair styling services for kids and at times their parents. Responsibilities Provide hair cutting services including cutting, styling for each client's preferences. Perform barbering services such as straight razor shaves and precision fades with attention to detail. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations and salon protocols. Utilize salon software like Shortcut to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently. Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to enhance client satisfaction. Communicate clearly with clients to understand their desired look and provide professional recommendations. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and ensuring a smooth salon flow. Skills Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber. Experience and patience working with children of all ages Proficiency in salon software systems such as Shortcut for appointment booking and client management, or desire to learn and be trained to use the software Shortcut Knowledge of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their needs. Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service. Store management experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the salon environment.
