Job Overview Join our vibrant beauty team as a Hair Salon Assistant Stylist! In this dynamic role, you'll support seasoned and extremely experienced master level stylists by preparing clients, maintaining salon cleanliness, and assisting with various hair services. If you have your cosmetology permit or license we want to meet you! This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry, develop or further your skills in hair color and styling, and learn the latest trends and techniques. Responsibilities Assist senior stylists with client consultations, shampooing, and hair treatments and color to ensure a seamless service experience Prepare workstations with tools and products needed for styling, coloring, or other hair services Maintain salon cleanliness by sanitizing tools, shampoo bowls, work areas, and ensuring proper sanitation protocols are followed Support with retail sales through upselling hair care products, extensions, makeup applications, and nail care items to enhance client satisfaction Manage appointment scheduling using VAGARO software to optimize client flow Educate clients on hair care routines and product recommendations to promote healthy hair habits Assist with specialized services such as hair threading or applying hair extensions under supervision Requirements MUST have your permit or cosmetology license Familiarity with sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures within a salon environment Experience working in the beauty industry or cosmetology training preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn fresh out of school is ok but passion and wanting to learn is essential Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration and a great in person presence Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, hair styling, and current trends in beauty services A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills to ensure clients leave satisfied and eager to return This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to build a rewarding career in the beauty industry.
