School Year Pay Rate:
$120/Day; $150/Day for retired Barberton Teachers. Bonus opportunities available. Pay increase for long-term substitute positions based on number of consecutive days. About the Role Dedicated School Staffing is seeking reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to support schools when full-time teachers are absent. This role ensures continuity of learning by following established lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students' academic and social development. Key Responsibilities Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment Provide clear instruction and support to students throughout the school day Adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as needed Take attendance and complete any required documentation Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other assigned duties Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in any subject field Licensed 4-9 Mathematics or 7-12 Mathematics Valid substitute teaching license or higher teaching license (as required by state regulations) Clean criminal background checks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different classroom settings Patience, professionalism, and a student-centered mindset Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching or childcare experience Familiarity with classroom management strategies Experience working with diverse student populations What We Offer Flexible scheduling Opportunities to gain classroom experience Potential for long-term substitute opportunities Potential pathways to full-time teaching roles Options for minor medical benefits Enrollment in State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) For more information about Dedicated School Staffing, please visit our website: www.dedicatedschoolstaffing.com.
