Utilize salon software such as Boulevard for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and ensuring the salon environment adheres to health regulations. Provide expert advice on hair care products and retail items through upselling techniques that benefit clients' hair health while boosting store sales. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer professional recommendations, and ensure a positive salon experience. Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, client check-ins, and managing the flow of daily operations to ensure smooth salon functioning. Mentor junior staff or apprentices by sharing techniques in hair styling and coloring Stay current with industry trends in hair coloring (color theory), styling techniques, and new product offerings to deliver innovative services. Qualifications Valid cosmetology license with experience working in the beauty industry; barbering certification is a plus Proficiency with salon management software such as Boulevard or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of hair care products, hair coloring techniques, and styling tools including flat irons and curling wands. Excellent communication skills for client consultations and retail upselling opportunities. Ability to maintain high sanitation standards and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Knowledge of retail math for effective upselling and store management practices is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
