17 years in Youngstown. Now doubling in size. BANG! Hair Studio opened in 2009 and has been building a loyal Youngstown following ever since. Established team, full books, and about 80 percent of our guests coming back. We have outgrown our building, so we are moving a few minutes down the road into a 3,600 square foot studio, roughly double our current size, with our staff and our clientele coming right along with us. This is not a startup. It is a salon with 17 years behind it finally getting the space it needs. Double the space also means double the services. More stations, a head spa, dedicated waxing and spray tan rooms, extensions, and a membership program built to keep chairs full. We are hiring stylists at every level, from newly licensed to master. How we pay (read this part) We are not a booth rent salon. You are a real employee here. Hourly or commission, whichever is higher for that pay period. Every single pay period. Our hourly base is never minimum wage. In practice nobody sits on hourly. Our stylists earn on commission and take home upwards of $30 an hour plus tips. No renting a chair. No buying your own color. No chasing your own bookings. Benefits Paid vacation. Full-time is 35 or more hours a week. Full-time stylists earn 5 paid vacation days in year one, 7 days at the next service milestone, and 10 days after that. 401(k) with a company match. Available after 6 months of continuous employment, matched up to 3 percent of your compensation. Paid team meetings and one-on-ones. If we ask you to be here, you are clocked in.
