Overview We are seeking a skilled and personable Barber to join our dynamic team in a vibrant barber shop environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for grooming, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in various hair and grooming techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in barbering while providing clients with top-tier service and style. Experience with all/most hair textures is a plus, along with a comprehensive understanding of sanitation and safety standards within the beauty industry. Rent is paid through commission, allowing the barber to create their own pricing and schedule. Commission is based on experience and existing clientele. Duties Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to industry regulations. Manage client appointments efficiently using Square Appointments Assist with front desk duties including client check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and retail sales transactions. Stay updated on current trends in hair styling and grooming techniques. Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their needs and provide personalized, affirming recommendations. Qualifications Valid cosmetology or barbering license required and independent contractors license; experience working in the beauty industry is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and traditional grooming styles. Excellent communication skills for client consultation and customer service excellence.
