The Right Person We're looking for someone who: Has strong men's haircutting skills, including clipper work, scissor work, fades, and classic men's styles Knows how to build a haircut around the individual, not just follow a formula Takes pride in their work and personal presentation Is dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently Understands the importance of a polished guest experience Is coachable and committed to getting better Takes their craft seriously and considers themselves a lifelong learner Wants to grow with a business that is actively expanding A Pennsylvania barber or cosmetology license is required. The Environment Penn Barber Co. operates from a private suite inside the historic Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. It's an upscale four-star hotel environment with a professional clientele. We work with business travelers, executives, downtown professionals, hotel guests, and people visiting Pittsburgh from all over the world. You meet a lot of interesting people here. Professionalism matters, and the standards are high. But Penn Barber Co. is not a corporate salon or a big chain. It's an independent operation built around great haircuts, great service, and taking pride in the work. The setting is high-end, but the approach is straightforward. We take the work seriously, know what we're doing, and care about doing it well. Schedule & Compensation Part-time, approximately 25-30 hours per week to start. The schedule includes Saturdays, weekday afternoons, and evenings. Some flexibility is possible, but consistent evening coverage is important as we continue to grow. Hourly guarantee or commission, whichever is greater. Additional hours will become available as the business grows.
