A Master Barber instructor teaches the theory and practice of Master Barber to those who wish to become a certified Master Barber themselves. Instructors train students to Style and cut hair, perform chemical perms, Highlighting, coloring the hair, facials, and tweeze and wax unwanted hair, in preparation for the certification exam. To prepare students to become skilled Master Barber, Barber instructors must have extensive, first-hand knowledge and experience in proper hygiene, sanitation and safety practices required for successful Master Barber practice. They must be able to teach Master Barber theory with a well-designed curriculum as well as successfully demonstrate techniques on live models and volunteers. A Master Barber instructor should have excellent communication and organization skills and be able to appropriately assess students' progress and take the necessary steps to ensure their complete and effective education.
