Crown Theory Salon is seeking a reliable, professional, and motivated Part-Time Shampoo & Salon Assistant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with natural and textured hair , takes pride in providing excellent client care, and is interested in growing their skills within a professional salon environment. The Shampoo & Salon Assistant will support the stylist with shampooing, conditioning, detangling, treatments, client preparation, salon organization, and maintaining an exceptional client experience. Responsibilities Shampoo and condition clients Gently detangle natural and textured hair Assist with deep-conditioning and scalp treatments Blow-dry and prepare hair for styling Assist with roller sets and styling preparation Prepare clients and stations for services Assist with client flow and service transitions Maintain a clean, organized shampoo area Sanitize tools, equipment, and work areas Assist with laundry, towels, and general salon organization Help maintain a welcoming and professional salon environment Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client's visit Assist with product organization and retail support as needed

We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

Dependable and punctual Professional, friendly, and personable Gentle and patient when working with textured hair Comfortable working with natural and 4C hair Clean, organized, and detail-oriented Able to work independently while also being a team player Comfortable working in a fast-paced salon environment Eager to learn and develop professionally Passionate about hair care and the beauty industry Preferred Qualifications Cosmetology student, licensed cosmetologist, or prior salon experience preferred Experience shampooing and detangling natural/textured hair Basic knowledge of healthy-hair practices and scalp care Strong communication and customer-service skills Understanding of salon sanitation and safety practices Professional appearance and attitude Ability to follow salon procedures and service protocols Training may be provided to the right candidate.
