DUTIESAND REQUIREMENTS
Position Overview :
In this role, you will provide professional grooming services within an immigration processing and custodial facility. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional cuts and trims while strictly adhering to all institutional security, safety, and tool-control protocols.Responsibilities :
Provide essential haircutting and grooming services, including shaves and beard trims for residents. Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace and all tools, adhering to strict health, hygiene, and security protocols. Follow established communication procedures with staff and residents to ensure order and safety. Adhere to all facility rules, regulations, and security protocols while working with the resident population. Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to providing quality services under supervision. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as managing inventory and tool accountability.Qualifications :
Must possess a Texas Class A Barber License. Must possess three (3) years of professional barber experience. Must possess a proven track record of professional barbering experience, demonstrating mastery in clean cuts, precise trimming, and strict adherence to sanitation protocols. Prior experience working in highly regulated environments, such as institutional settings, military bases, or corporate/government contracted facilities, is highly preferred, alongside a demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism, situational awareness, and strict compliance with facility security and tool-control policies. Ability to use sound judgment and perform job duties with minimal supervision. Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization. If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition. Must consent to fingerprinting. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening. Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening. Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Work Environment :

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.Physical Requirements :
The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the facility to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
