Cosmetologist/Director

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cosmetologist/Director to lead our beauty school with passion, professionalism, and strong leadership. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and supporting the growth and success of both students and staff. The ideal candidate will inspire their team, maintain the highest standards of sanitation and safety, and create a positive environment where education, beauty, and customer service thrive. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the salon and beauty school, including scheduling, inventory management, and team coordination. Lead by example by demonstrating high-quality cosmetology services such as hair styling, eyelash extensions, nail services, makeup application, waxing, and facial treatments. Ensure strict adherence to sanitation and health regulations to maintain a safe environment for clients, students, and staff. Develop and implement marketing strategies, including social media promotions, service specials, and product features. Train and mentor students and staff in professional techniques, customer service, and industry best practices. Encourage retail sales through product knowledge and natural upselling during client consultations. Oversee front desk operations, including client check-in/check-out, scheduling, and customer inquiries. Provide demonstrations and education on beauty products and services to enhance the client experience. Foster a positive, professional learning environment focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous skill development. Qualifications & Experience Active cosmetology license with strong hands-on experience in the beauty industry. Proficient knowledge in cosmetology services including hair, esthetics, nail services, and eyelash extensions is required; experience with hair weaving is a plus. Previous leadership or management experience in a salon, beauty school, or med spa environment preferred. Experience with services such as waxing, color theory, advanced skincare treatments, and nail care is highly valued. Strong customer service, leadership, and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of sanitation standards and state board regulations.
