Stylist SUMMARY The Hairstylist will provide guest with impeccable hair care and hair style with professionalism, personalized service and hospitality to guests of Spa Montage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, and styling hair, and massaging and treating scalp. Analyze patrons' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or suggest hair styles. Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics. Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers' instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors. Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs. Develop new styles and techniques. Update and maintain customer information records, such as beauty services provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of two years' experience as a Hairstylist Hotel experience preferred. Customer services skills required. Knowledge of principles and processes for meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
