About the Stylist We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Skilled, passionate, and proud of their craft Professional, dependable, and self-motivated Positive, friendly, and brings great energy to the salon Passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience Interested in continuing to grow and learn behind the chair Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team Interested in building long-term relationships with guests Excited about growing their career and clientele Open to continuing education and learning new techniques We're looking for a stylist with an established clientele and a strong desire to continue growing. Ideally, you have the ability to bring approximately 50% or more of your current clientele with you while also being excited about the opportunity to build your business within Sarah Mason Style.

What You'll Do:

As a Hairstylist/Cosmetologist at Sarah Mason Style, you'll have the opportunity to provide a variety of services based on your experience, strengths, and interests, including: Haircuts and styling Blowouts Hair coloring and color services Special occasion styling Bridal hair And other services you're passionate about within the cosmetology industry Our goal is to give you the opportunity to use your strengths and build the kind of clientele and career that fits you. You'll also play an important role in creating the overall Sarah Mason Style experience by providing thoughtful, personalized service and making every guest feel welcomed, cared for, and confident when they leave your chair. We're Building Your Success Together! We know that building a clientele takes time, which is why you won't be expected to do it completely on your own. You'll have the opportunity to grow your personal clientele while we continue to promote and market Sarah Mason Style as a whole. We're looking for someone who is willing to participate in building their business and maintaining a presence on social media, while knowing that we're in this together. We're also big believers in continuing education. If there's a technique you'd love to learn, an area you'd like to strengthen, or a class you want to attend, we want to encourage that growth. And if bridal hair and makeup interests you… That's a BIG bonus! Sarah also has a growing Wedding Hair & Makeup team, and we're always excited to add talented artists who want to expand their skill set and explore the bridal side of the industry.

What We Expect:

Valid Virginia cosmetology license Strong foundation in hair cutting, styling, and/or color Knowledge of color theory and current hair techniques Excellent communication and listening skills Ability to understand a guest's needs and bring their vision to life Strong customer service skills Reliable and professional Ability to manage time effectively Comfortable using salon scheduling/client-management software Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace A genuine desire to continue learning and growing So, Why Sarah Mason Style?
