Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside a celebrity barber in a shop serving a diverse clientele, including players from the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks. Opportunities are limited, and candidates will undergo a thorough interview process to ensure the right fit. Duties Provide expert haircuts, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to each client's preferences. Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations. Utilize salon management software like Squarespace/Acuity to schedule appointments, track client history, and manage retail sales efficiently. Engage with clients through clear communication about service options, aftercare advice, and product recommendations to foster loyalty. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing check-ins/outs, and handling retail transactions with retail math and upselling techniques. Mentor junior team members or apprentices to promote skill development and uphold high service standards. Skills Ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations. Knowledge of retail sales strategies including upselling products like hair care items, makeup products, or nail care essentials. Familiarity with advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application to diversify service offerings. Excellent customer service skills combined with a professional attitude that fosters repeat business. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including front desk duties and mentoring team members when needed. Strong knowledge of hair care techniques including cutting, styling, coloring (color theory), and hair treatments like threading or relaxers. Expertise in barbering skills such as straight razor shaves and traditional grooming techniques. Experience working in the beauty industry with a solid understanding of sanitation practices and store management principles.
