Job Description

North Scottsdale Animal Hospital is a busy, established veterinary hospital who is looking for an experienced, compassionate pet groomer to join our team as we prepare for the retirement of our long-time groomer. This is a unique opportunity to step into an existing client base while helping us grow and elevate our grooming services. Our goal is to provide safe, quality grooming in a supportive veterinary environment where patient care always comes first. Opportunity to help shape the future of our growing grooming department. Our Grooming Philosophy We believe every pet deserves individualized care. We value quality over rushing through appointments and encourage groomers to educate clients on coat maintenance, skin health, and realistic grooming schedules. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing beautiful, comfortable grooms while treating every patient with patience and compassion. Responsibilities Perform complete grooming services for dogs of all breeds and coat types. Bathe, dry, brush, clip, hand scissor, and finish pets to client expectations. Communicate directly with clients regarding style, coat condition, and home maintenance. Recognize medical concerns and communicate findings to our veterinary team. Maintain accurate grooming notes within the medical record. Keep grooming equipment and work area clean and organized. Work collaboratively with our receptionist, kennel staff, bather, and medical team. Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships. Qualifications Professional grooming experience required. Ability to groom a variety of breeds and coat types. Comfortable working independently while also being part of a collaborative veterinary team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Reliable, professional, and compassionate. Experience with hand scissoring and breed styling is preferred. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
