Job Description

The Lightwell Hotel + Spa is looking for a service-oriented and community-minded Spa Attendant. Spa Attendants are responsible for greeting and checking in guests, maintaining the cleanliness of the spa area, stocking spa supplies, responding to guest concerns, and opening and closing spa procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets guests warmly, issues lockers/robes/slippers for guests. Assists with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking guests in as required. Maintains clean, sanitary, and tidy changing rooms, restrooms, showers, and all spa areas throughout the shift. Cleans each surface with attention to detail, making sure that each space is complete before moving on. Proactively stocks towels, robes, and toiletries. Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests, questions, or concerns. Greets guests sincerely as they pass by, interacting with them by smiling as they move throughout the hotel. Providing friendly, professional, and courteous service to guests. Responsible for opening and closing procedures of the spa and spa areas. Reporting maintenance issues promptly. Team-oriented, works all scheduled shifts, and covers shifts as needed in support. Demonstrates a safety-first attitude towards guests and their well-being, adhering to all hotel safety and security policies. Cross-trains in other departments to offer support when needed. Employees are from various departments within the hotel. All other duties as scheduled and assigned throughout the day.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Experience in hospitality or a related role is preferred but not required. Flexibility in hours worked and changes to the seasonality of the position. Availability for evenings and weekends based on demand. Adept in problem-solving with critical thinking skills to identify issues, analyze options, and make informed decisions Must remain calm under pressure and find creative solutions, which is crucial for effectively addressing unexpected situations. Able to follow instructions and procedures given verbally or in writing (accommodation for language available). Attention to detail, notices minor issues, is proactive about maintaining cleanliness and organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Physical Requirements Exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently or constantly. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. consistently. Able to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. To stand and walk for six to eight hours at a time. Kneel, crawl, and bend over at the waist and reach the floor. Reach overhead and maneuver arms above head, reaching, pulling, and pushing. Must be 18 years old or above
