What We Are Looking For We are seeking an stylist who specializes in clean parting, structural tension control, and consistent maintenance across various loc sizes and techniques.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:

Loc Maintenance:

Expert execution of Palm Rolling and Interlocking techniques for established locs.

Micro Locs:

Demonstrated experience in the meticulous installation and maintenance/re-tightening of micro locs.

Washes & Detoxes:

Knowledge of clarifying treatments, detox routines, and scalp therapies.

Loc Styling:

Creative styling, including barrels, updos, ropes, petals, and pipe-cleaner curls.

Preferred Bonus Skills:

Experience with Starter Locs (comb coils, two-strand twists, instant locs), Loc Repairs, and Loc Extensions/Attachments.

Requirements:

Proven hands-on experience as a working loctician.

Portfolio Required:

Clear photos/videos showing before-and-after work, grid parting, retwists, interlocking, and creative loc styling. Commitment to clean technique without causing tension alopecia or scalp damage. Texas Cosmetology or Hair Weaving/Braiding license preferred, but exceptional unlicensed locticians with strong client history will be considered. Why Texture Techniques Salon?
