Forever Friends Pet Cremation and Memorialization Pet Crematory Operator (Tuesday - Friday, 1 pm to 11 pm) At Forever Friends, we believe every pet should be treated with dignity and respect. We are looking for hard-working, compassionate individuals who can demonstrate our core values of respect, transparency, accountability and service excellence. Dependability is key! We are currently seeking a crematory operator for Tuesday - Friday, 1 pm to 11 pm (four, ten hour days)
Essential Job Functions:
Place pet remains in the cremation unit, remove them from the cremation unit, process remains, and transfer them into the urn or container of family's choice Maintain appropriate chain of custody documentation, ensuring accurate identification and tracking of remains while in company care Complete all documentation and records thoroughly and accurately in computer software and/or on paper Show exceptional care and respect for every pet in our care and family we serve Operate and maintain cremation equipment and complete all required documentation with respect to equipment maintenance Ensure the work area is safe, tidy, clean, and organized at all times Follow safety protocols and meet all deadlines May be called on to engrave urns or transport pets if needed as part of operations Exceed customer expectations by providing excellent customer service Participate in staff meetings and offer suggestions to improve family satisfaction and product and service offerings Additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication skills Exceptional level of compassion and integrity Problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and set priorities Detail-oriented Professional and team player Self-Motivated Physical Environment/Working Conditions• Exposure to hot surfaces and hot working conditions Above-average noise level Exposure to conditions associated with deceased pet remains Ability to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and lift (up to 75 pounds) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to show respect and sensitivity Must operate equipment in a safe and careful manner Ability to lift 70 pounds (from the floor) unassisted Ability to work at a steady pace, while maintaining quality • Reasonable accommodations are available to qualified individuals with disabilities.
