Job Description

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Crematory Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cremation equipment, ensuring that all processes are conducted in a respectful and professional manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and empathy.
Shift expectation:
Saturday and Sunday Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAct with a high level of uncompromising integrity, ethics and compassion for the care of deceased petsWork within established safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE equipmentComplete all required documentation in an accurate, organized and legible mannerProperly label all deceased pets prior to the start of the cremation processPrepare and package cremated pet remains with care and dignityDeliver cremated remains to the appropriate partyMaintain the crematorium, equipment and adjacent facilitiesPromote positive working relationships and efficient and effective communication Communicate effectively with all hospital teams to find solutions and resolve concernsAdhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelinesPerform other duties as deemed necessaryPreferred Education & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or equivalent Valid drivers license requiredCertification to operate crematory equipment requiredPrevious animal care background is a plusCompetencies Strong customer service skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and multitaskCollaboration and teamworkOrganized with strong attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stay calm and efficient during times of high tension
