Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented individual to join our team as a certified crematory operator. This position will also include responsibilities for maintaining the pristine condition of our vehicle fleet and properties and a polished, professional presence while assisting with funeral services. Requirements Crematory Operations Performing cremations of deceased individuals in accordance with all state laws, environmental regulations and company policies Operate and maintain crematory retort and processing equipment with safety as the top priority. Maintain meticulous records and permits for all services performed. Assist with the dignified handling and preparation of remains for the cremation process. Experience is a plus, but not necessary. Company will train and provide the necessary certifications.
Funeral Assistance Service Support:
Assist funeral directors during visitations, funerals, and memorial services.
Guest Relations:
Greet and direct attendees, manage floral tributes, park cars and assist with the setup and breakdown of service folders, registers, and chairs.
Fleet and Facilities Maintenance Vehicle Care:
Perform regular washing, vacuuming, and detailing of the funeral fleet (hearses and lead cars) to ensure they are "service-ready" at all times.
Building Upkeep:
Execute routine cleaning and light maintenance of the funeral home and crematory facilities, including power washing exterior surfaces and maintaining tidy common areas.
Grounds Maintenance:
Manage all lawn care and garden maintenance , ensuring grass is neatly mowed, flower beds are weeded, and the landscaping remains manicured to provide a serene environment for families.
Inventory:
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and crematory consumables. On-Call & Transfer Services (On Call compensation is in addition to hourly rate) Maintain on-call availability for two nights per week and one full weekend per month. Respond promptly to "first calls," performing the professional transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home. Interact with grieving families with the utmost empathy, poise, and professionalism. Each on call period (night) will pay $50 plus $55 per time called out. General Requirements Must live within 30 minutes of Schuylkill Haven Available to be on call from ~5pm-8am during scheduled week nights, and Friday at 4pm-Monday at 8am on scheduled weekends
MUST BE RELIABLE
Physically able to lift and carry 100+ lbs with assistance Valid driver's license and clean driving record No visible tattoos or facial piercings Professional attire
