Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Pet Crematory Operator and Maintenance Technician, where your dedication will help families honor their beloved pets with dignity and care. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire cremation process, ensuring respectful handling of remains, operating and maintaining cremation equipment, and providing emotional support to clients during difficult times. Your expertise in mechanical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance will ensure smooth operations while upholding the highest standards of funeral ethics and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate traditional cremation units and alkaline hydrolysis equipment, ensuring all cremations are conducted with respect and precision Transport remains for cremation, including moving and lifting heavy loads in accordance with safety guidelines Witness cremation procedures to verify proper process adherence and maintain accurate record keeping Assist clients by providing empathetic emotional support and explaining cremation options, ceremonial arrangements, and post-cremation services Conduct routine maintenance on crematory and post-cremation processing equipment to ensure optimal performance Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and uphold regulatory compliance standards Maintain detailed logs of each cremation, transport activities, and equipment maintenance in accordance with regulatory requirements Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to protect yourself, colleagues, clients, and the environment Experience Prior experience in funeral directing or a related field is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment used in cremation or similar processes is preferred Experience with record keeping, regulatory compliance, or troubleshooting industrial machinery will be advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle the physical demands of moving remains or equipment Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on providing compassionate support during sensitive situations Join us in delivering respectful pet aftercare services that bring comfort to grieving families.
