Mortuary Transport Specialist About Us We are a dedicated 24/7 mortuary transport service committed to providing dignified and professional care during families' most difficult moments. Located approximately 10 minutes from the Texas Medical Center in Houston, our team takes pride in honoring the deceased with respect and compassion while supporting funeral homes and medical facilities with reliable transport services. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about serving families in the mortuary industry. Key Responsibilities Safely and respectfully transport human remains between facilities, residences, and funeral homes Maintain detailed documentation and chain of custody records Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked Communicate professionally with funeral home staff, medical facilities, and families Respond to transport calls on a 24/7 on-call rotation Follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and industry regulations Represent our company with dignity and professionalism at all times
Ideal Candidate Profile Required Attributes:
Genuine passion for serving others in the mortuary and death care industry Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks Patient, calm demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive situations Strong work ethic and reliability, including 24/7 availability Physical capability to safely lift and transfer deceased individuals (up to 200+ lbs with equipment) Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record Ability to pass background check Willingness to comply with strictly enforced professional dress code Valued Qualifications (Training Provided if Needed): Previous experience in mortuary services, funeral home operations, or death care (preferred but not required) Knowledge of proper body handling and transfer techniques Familiarity with infection control and universal precautions Understanding of mortuary industry standards and practices
