Responsibilities Safely operate cremation machinery, including traditional cremation units and alkaline hydrolysis systems, ensuring compliance with crematory regulations. Transport pet remains for cremation with care, maintaining respectful handling throughout the process. Conduct witness cremations for clients who wish to observe the process, providing transparency and reassurance. Assist clients by offering emotional support and guiding them through ceremonial arrangements or personalized memorial services. Maintain accurate records of all cremation procedures, transport logs, and post-cremation processing documentation. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. Follow strict safety protocols during all handling, moving, and cremation activities to protect yourself and others from hazards. Qualifications Prior experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, cremation technology, or funeral directing is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to crematory systems and post-cremation processing equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks involved in moving remains or industrial components. Strong customer service skills with an empathetic approach to supporting grieving pet owners. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transporting remains or equipment as needed. Knowledge of cremation regulations, safety standards, and funeral ethics to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent record keeping skills to document procedures accurately and thoroughly.
