DERM, a physician-owned cosmetic dermatology practice, is seeking a polished, experienced Licensed Esthetician to join our growing practice. This is a part-time position beginning at our Vestavia Hills location, with anticipated opportunity to expand as we transition into our new Homewood location. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, detail-oriented, confident with skincare and facial treatments, and comfortable providing an elevated but approachable patient experience. Initial schedule is anticipated to include Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 1-5pm and Wednesdays 9-4, approximately 15-16 hours per week. Responsibilities

• Perform customized facial treatments, superficial exfoliation, extractions, hydrating treatments, and other services within Alabama esthetician scope of practice
• Provide a consistently polished, comfortable and professional patient experience
• Educate patients on physician-curated skincare products and home-care regimens
• Make thoughtful skincare recommendations without high-pressure sales
• Document treatments appropriately and maintain accurate patient records
• Take high-quality clinical before-and-after photographs when appropriate
• Schedule follow-up appointments and rebook patients
• Complete patient checkout and process payments
• Maintain treatment-room cleanliness, sanitation and infection-control standards
• Monitor treatment supplies and skincare inventory

• Recognize concerns outside the esthetician scope of practice and appropriately refer patients to the physician Maintain strict sanitation protocols and uphold health regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff alike Support front desk operations by greeting guests, answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring seamless guest experiences.

Requirements Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in chemical peel procedures Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in aesthetic treatments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively about treatments and skincare routines. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor that fosters client loyalty. Experience with social media management for marketing purposes is preferred. Background check Familiarity with sanitation standards including sterilization of tools and treatment areas is essential.

• Skills in retail sales upselling skincare products or treatment packages to enhance revenue streams.
