Job Overview We are seeking a part time Massage Therapy Instructor to teach our evening Massage Therapy Program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise, foster professional growth, and shape the next generation of wellness practitioners. As a Massage Therapy Instructor, you will deliver engaging lessons, supervise student practice sessions, and ensure that students acquire comprehensive skills in various massage techniques and related aesthetic treatments. Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering massage therapy techniques, anatomy, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and other aesthetic treatments such as facials, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and nail care. Supervise and mentor students during practical sessions to ensure proper technique, safety protocols, and professional conduct. Evaluate student progress through assessments, provide constructive feedback, and maintain detailed records of performance. Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new methods such as esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, hair extensions, hair coloring, hair threading, makeup application, and other salon services into curriculum. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement, confidence-building, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance program quality and ensure alignment with industry standards. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health regulations and safety procedures related to cosmetology and massage therapy practices. Requirements Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced techniques. Strong background in skincare, esthetic treatments, hair styling, barbering, and nail care is highly desirable. Prior teaching experience or experience working in adult education settings is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy is essential for effective instruction of massage techniques and body treatments. Familiarity with salon experience including eyelash extensions, facials, body waxing, makeup application, hair coloring, hair extensions, dermabrasion, and aesthetic laser treatments. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles while maintaining high standards of professionalism. Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students effectively. Certification or licensure in massage therapy or cosmetology as required by local regulations is necessary.
