Overview The lead esthetician serves as the primary example for associates within the esthetics area. As team leader, this position assists the spa director with protocol accountability, coordinating workshops, and delivering training while also maintaining a proper standard of presentation and quality services. The lead acts in accordance with the departmental policies, participates in ATGT monthly meetings, and provides oversight for maintaining current licenses on all estheticians. The lead role is responsible for mentoring new staff while also assisting the spa director with daily operations, participates in skin care training, and provides treatments. The lead esthetician is responsible for product inventory as defined by the par levels created with the spa director. Responsibilities will also include coaching estheticians on monthly sales goals. At the end of each month, the lead esthetician will perform a month-end evaluation for each esthetician through the Omni Moments of Service standard.
RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Effectively train associates to consistently provide services that meet Omni standards.
  • Lead by example and maintain accountability of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide regular performance feedback through monthly Moments of Service, and annual performance reviews based on goal setting, accomplishments, and performance opportunities.
  • Assist with Esthetician meetings as needed and attend regularly scheduled staff meetings/training.
  • Review room checklist and provide accountability for room standardization.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of work area and submit work orders to management as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of skin care product pars as determined through the spa director.
  • Assist with training on assessing guests' skin care through proper consultation with guests.
  • Assist with training and be the example for educating guests on skin care products and pulling retail for front desk.
  • Act as spa resource on skin care products, monitor associates' need for educational workshops, and assist with updates to our current skin care protocol and products.
  • Be an example of professionalism, high-quality guest experiences, and seamless teamwork.
  • Monitor area of responsibility for ways to increase quality, safety, effectiveness, efficiency, and revenue.
  • Maintain area for licensing compliance through posting license renewals and getting them on file in a timely manner. Required skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Dedication to service excellence for guests and associates
  • Ability to work independently and a team environment for the greater good to the spa.
  • Excellent communication skills with guests, associates and Spa Director.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to assist with group training as needed for skin care education.
  • Maintain expectations of associates to represent the Spa at Omni Amelia Island according to Omni Standards. Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Licensed Esthetician in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with leadership in the spa industry, required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with skin care products, consultations, and education, as a practicing Esthetician in a resort-based setting.
  • Must have flexible availability and be able to work weekends and holidays.
