Joseph & Friends Salon & Spa is seeking a skilled and professional Licensed Wax Specialist for our Roswell location, with both commission and room rental opportunities available. Our spa is located within the salon while offering its own private and relaxing environment, including private treatment rooms, a separate waiting area, changing room, and steam room. Treatment rooms are already furnished with a professional bed, sink, lighting, cabinets, and shelving, allowing you to focus on providing excellent services and an exceptional client experience. We are looking for someone who is confident in full-body waxing, facial waxing, and threading, with strong attention to detail and a passion for making clients feel comfortable and confident. Candidates are always welcome to schedule a tour of the spa before interviewing to see the space and learn more about the opportunity. Responsibilities Provide professional full-body and facial waxing services for clients Perform services including brows, upper lip, chin, full face, underarms, arms, legs, back, chest, stomach, bikini, Brazilian waxing, and other body waxing services Provide professional facial and eyebrow threading services Conduct consultations to understand each client's needs, skin sensitivities, preferences, and desired results Educate clients on proper pre-wax and post-wax care to help prevent irritation and ingrown hairs Create a comfortable, professional, and discreet experience, particularly during intimate waxing services Maintain excellent sanitation, disinfection, and hygiene standards before and after every service Keep treatment rooms, tools, equipment, and supplies clean and organized Recommend appropriate aftercare and retail products based on individual client needs Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through consistent service and excellent customer care Maintain appointments and client information through the salon booking system Actively build and maintain a clientele through rebooking, referrals, networking, marketing, and client retention Participate in salon marketing and social media efforts when available and professionally promote your services Follow salon policies, professional standards, sanitation requirements, and dress code Qualifications Current Georgia Esthetician or Cosmetology License required Professional waxing experience preferred Strong skills in body waxing, facial waxing, Brazilian waxing, and eyebrow shaping Threading experience strongly preferred Knowledge of different skin types, hair-growth patterns, waxing techniques, and appropriate aftercare Strong understanding of sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards Excellent consultation and communication skills Professional, dependable, responsible, and organized Ability to make clients feel comfortable and respected during all services Strong customer-service skills with a genuine interest in building lasting client relationships Motivated to grow and maintain a clientele Comfortable promoting services through networking, marketing, and social media Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment What We Offer Commission and room rental opportunities Full-time and part-time positions Flexible scheduling Private, furnished treatment rooms Separate spa waiting area Changing room and steam room Established salon and spa environment Professional booking system Opportunities to build and grow your clientele Marketing and social media support Employee discounts for eligible employees Biweekly payroll for commission employees 401(k) for eligible employees Tips belong to the service provider Professional growth and continuing education opportunities About Joseph & Friends Joseph & Friends Salon & Spa is an established beauty business with four locations across North Atlanta and decades of experience in the beauty industry.
