Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Esthetician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of skin anatomy and physiology, with the ability to assess client skin needs effectively. This role requires expertise in various esthetic techniques, including facials and skin treatments, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Licensed Esthetician, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and appearance of our clients through skincare treatments and personalized treatment plans. Duties Conduct thorough skin assessments to understand individual client needs and preferences. Develop customized skincare treatment plans tailored to address specific skin concerns or relaxation goals. Perform various types of facials and treatments, including hydrofacials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and other modalities as required. Perform waxing, lash/brow services (tinting, lamination, shaping), and other esthetic treatments as needed. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and client progress. Educate clients on home skincare routines and the benefits of regular esthetic treatments. Collaborate with other professionals in a med spa environment to ensure comprehensive client care. Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in treatment areas. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming and calming atmosphere for clients. Requirements Valid Illinois Esthetician license (IDFPR). Completion of a state-approved esthetics training program (minimum 750 hours in Illinois) from a licensed cosmetology/esthetics school. Passage of the Illinois state board exam (written and practical) for esthetics. Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and skincare terminology. Experience with chemical peels, dermaplaning, and advanced skincare modalities preferred. Excellent skin assessment skills to identify client needs accurately. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Previous experience in a med spa setting is a plus but not required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends and continuing education requirements. Bonus consideration for candidates skilled in waxing, lash/brow services, and other esthetic treatments.
