Job Description

Experienced Facial Aesthetician Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and client-focused Licensed Aesthetician to join our skincare and wellness team. The successful candidate will provide professional treatments and personalized skincare solutions based on each client's skin type, concerns, and goals. This role requires strong technical knowledge, dependable and reliable individual, excellent client communication skill, strict attention to sanitation, and the ability to create a welcoming experience that encourages client satisfaction, rebooking, and long-term skincare results. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed skincare consultations and assess each client's skin type, condition, concerns, treatment history, and desired results. Develop personalized treatment plans and recommend appropriate services based on the client's needs. Perform a wide range of facial services, including: Customized facials Signature facials Hydrating facials Deep-cleansing facials Acne-focused facials Anti-aging facials Chemical peels Microdermabrasion Dermaplaning Extractions Facial waxing LED light therapy Other approved skincare treatments within the aesthetician's professional scope of practice Prepare clients for treatments and clearly explain the procedure, expected benefits, aftercare requirements, possible reactions, and recommended treatment frequency. Monitor clients throughout each service to ensure their comfort, safety, and satisfaction. Maintain accurate client records, including consultation findings, services performed, products used, skin reactions, treatment progress, and aftercare recommendations. Take approved before-and-after photographs when required and with the client's consent. Educate clients about proper home skincare routines and recommend suitable professional skincare products. Promote appropriate retail products, treatment packages, memberships, and follow-up services without using high-pressure sales tactics. Encourage clients to rebook recommended treatments before leaving the facility. Follow all treatment protocols, sanitation procedures, infection-control standards, and safety requirements. Clean, disinfect, and prepare treatment rooms, equipment, tools, linens, and supplies before and after every appointment. Monitor treatment-room inventory and promptly report products or supplies that need to be reordered. Stay informed about new skincare products, facial techniques, treatment technologies, and industry best practices. Work collaboratively with medical providers, front-desk staff, and other team members to ensure a smooth and professional client experience. Refer clients to an appropriate medical provider when a skin condition or treatment request falls outside the aesthetician's scope of practice. Qualifications and Requirements Current aesthetician or cosmetology license as required by applicable state and local regulations. Proven professional experience providing facial and skincare services in a medspa, skincare clinic, salon, or wellness environment. Demonstrated proficiency in customized facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, extractions, facial waxing, and other approved facial treatments. Additional certification or documented training for advanced devices and treatments, where required. Strong knowledge of skin types, common skin concerns, skincare ingredients, treatment contraindications, and aftercare requirements. Thorough knowledge of sanitation, disinfection, infection prevention, and treatment-room safety standards. Excellent consultation, communication, and customer-service skills. Ability to explain treatment options and product recommendations clearly and confidently. Ability to identify client needs, recommend appropriate services, support retail sales, and encourage rebooking. Professional appearance, positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Comfortable using scheduling, point-of-sale, electronic client-record, and treatment-documentation systems. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a medical spa or advanced skincare environment. Experience treating diverse skin tones and a wide range of skin concerns. Training in advanced facial technologies such as LED therapy, HydraFacial-type treatments, radiofrequency, ultrasonic treatments, or other approved aesthetic devices. Experience with skincare product sales, treatment packages, memberships, client retention, and rebooking. Performance Expectations The Facial Aesthetician will be expected to consistently: Deliver safe, professional, and high-quality facial services. Maintain complete and accurate client documentation. Achieve strong client-satisfaction and rebooking rates. Recommend services and products based on genuine client needs. Maintain clean, organized, and fully prepared treatment rooms. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
